Challenge

Mind Foundry is an exciting business business established at Oxford University by two of the greatest minds in A.I. and machine learning research and development, Professors Stephen Roberts and Mike Osborne.

We were asked by our friends at Doublelix to develop a new identity and creative style to capture the spirit of the business to propel them towards the next step of their growth.

Solution

At the centre of the identity is the symbol, which embodies the idea of Bayes theorem of probability - a useful tool in applied machine learning that provides a way of thinking about the relationship between data and potential models.

Tweaking the original graph to strengthen its ability to be the letter M, it acts as a strong visual representation of the business and new name. It takes Mind Foundry beyond an academic spin off and helps position them as a relevant and commercially savvy organisation.

Using an electric green, a strong, rich colour palette and geometric patterns we created a vibrant identity that’s an expression of analytical and creative thinking - a modern symbol in perpetual motion and an ideal way to reflect the business’ continued progression and growth.
